Was it mentioned why psychedelic experiences are to be avoided? Is awakening to consensus reality really all that bad?

It's noteworthy that this study was funded by DARPA and the US Government. This is worth noting given the high expense of a project like this. I've pasted below the financial acknowledgements from the study.

"This work was supported by DARPA HR001119S0092 (to B.L.R., G.S., W.C.W. and B.K.S.) and by NIH grants R35GM122473 (to J.A.E.), R35GM122481 (to B.K.S.), R37DA045657 (to B.L.R.), R01MH11205 (B.L.R. and B.K.S.) and GM71896 (to J.J.I.). Some of the behavioural experiments were conducted with equipment and software purchased with a North Carolina Biotechnology Center grant. Psychedelic company to sell mushroom tea.

This sentence doesn't make much sense:

"The formulation would be standardized to provide a 25mg dose of the mushroom strain Psilocybe cubensis, and the company says they have applied to be a psilocybin supplier for Health Canada’s Special Access Program, which allows people to apply for psilocybin-assisted therapy."

Are we talking about providing a 25 mg dose of psilocybin of the mushroom strain Psilocybe cubensis? 25 mg of dried Psilocybe cubensis is about 1/4 of a microdose, and it has very little or no therapeutic effect.

You have to drink an awful lot of tea to get a full therapeutic dose of psilocybin if each tea bag contains only 25 mg of dried Psilocybe cubensis mushroom.
